Oh my goodness I can not believe that July is already here! Have I ever told you how much Alec and I love the summer months? I live for working outside (iced coffees anyone??). What seems even crazier is that half of the year is already over! Ugh, I was not at all prepared for that since it still feels like March.
01. June is one of those months...you know - those ones where it's been like 4\5 months since winter ended and you can't get off that whole carb overload thing?
So the real goal this month is to take small steps toward getting healthy again. No I don't mean giving up #pizzamondays (like that could happen), but really taking the time to grow a manageable lifestyle of wellness. Anybody else up for actually using those yoga pants for more than terrible fashion sense?
02. Make massive efforts towards self love. Yes, half of me is going to use this as an excuse to picnic, day drink and work outside (not at the same time!...well, maybe hehe). But 'self love' takes on so many traits.
Alec and I developed this business on growing value and confidence in everyone we work with/meet. Recently, even in my own efforts, I am reminded how much self love it takes for all of us to run a business, be amazing husbands and wives and maintain good health - mentally and physically. So what I especially would like from this month on is to pay more attention - to my health, my mental health and the things I need to accomplish to live positively & inspire. Now I could write a whole post just about this (and I will!), but one thing I would like to work on is having just a few days away to fill up on inspiration and ignore the masses.
03. Reconnect with our 'why.' See, the world makes it so easy to push your ambitions and passions aside. Like SO easy! Take one scroll through facebook and you've already forgotten why you went on there...
Personally, I try very hard to make things, such as my social media platforms based on my inspirations. But life has a tendency to distract you without you even noticing. So lately, Alec and I have been trying earnestly to remind ourselves what started us in this business in the first place. I'm always reminding people to share why they started their businesses. Really, it's the only thing that truly connects us (other than our love of lattes.) What actionable steps do you take to remind yourself of why you do what you do?
Happy summer ya'll! What crazy plans do you have this month?
